There are a lot of new PC games coming this year and here is a hand-picked list of amazing PC games from 2016-17 that you can still play. This is not an exhaustive list and I will try to add some more titles that are released in 2016-17.
Đang xem: 20 best pc games of 2016
With E3 2016 in the backdrop, we got tons of information about the upcoming games on PC, XBOX, and PS4. Some of the adrenaline-pumping PC games coming this fall the Watch Dogs 2, PREY, and Forza Horizon 3 this fall.
Let’s start with one of the deadly gaming titles coming to PC in early 2017. I have included some of the PS4 or Xbox One trailers from E3 2016 for the games which are also going to be released on PC.
Going back to its roots, RE7: Biohazard feels a much more horror game than its recent predecessors. While the demo was very short and was shown on for VR, Capcom has clarified that the game will be traditionally available to all other non-VR platforms. Of course, this would make RE7 one of the first wave of AAA games that can be played entirely in VR and out of it.
It was obvious it has major influences from Silent Hill “PT” last year, which is nothing but good news for horror enthusiasts. At the Tokyo Game Show, we expect real gameplay and many more details about this game.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will release on 24th January 2017 for PS4, XB1, and PC.

Moving away from a dark and grim story, Watch Dogs 2 has its feet drenched in hackers world. Ubisoft is trying hard to merge super talented hacker persona with edgy teen emotes spamming attitude. But we will give credit where credit is due, the game looks amazing, the gameplay got better, the parkour is always a welcome addition, and the light mood of the campaign will probably make up for messing around in this world.
If you’re wondering about Ubisoft ace move, that is future downgrades. Be disappointed because Ubisoft made sure the Watch Dogs 1 fiasco never happens again (at least for this franchise). The game looked just how it is intended to look like on release, which is..
Watch Dogs 2 will release on 15th November 2016 on PS4, XB1, and PC.

In our predictions article, we said we could see a new Prey if we didn’t see new Elders Scroll game. And that is exactly what happened. However, this Prey is not a remake but a re-imagining of the first game, set in 2032 and revolves around our protagonist who is a test subject in a psychological experiment.
You can play both as male or female, and their will be quests spread out which depending upon you will change the story at the end. Any further details are not out yet, but it seems it will have a one big continuous area you can track back to anytime.
PREY will release in 2017 on PS4, XB1, and PC.

With Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, almost all Xbox exclusives will come to PC now. Amongst them is one of the biggest racing game, Forza franchise. Horizon 3 is not a sim racer, but strikes a good balance between arcade and simulation with open world and freedom to cross the finish line anyway possible. Set in Australia, you can leave the road anytime and cut your way through the deserts, beaches, jungles, highways and urban environments to make your own way and shortcuts.
Forza Horizon 3 will be released on 27th September on XB1 and PC (Windows Store).

Xbox juggernaut is coming to PC again. Gears of War 1 started its journey from PC and Xbox together, now Microsoft has found its way back to PC again with the fifth overall installment. Gears of War 4 is set 25 years after GoW3, Marcus Fenix has retired and his status has been erected. His son takes the center stage this time in a world where normal fossil fuels are exhausted, and while countering the Locust menace, the earth has managed to disturb its environmental health where huge thunderstorms and the lethal wind is destroying everything.
The beloved third-person shooting is satisfying as ever, and Coalition Studios has promised a return to a dark and grim story. The COG has declared martial law and many people have disbanded from it, to make their own teams.
Gears of War 4 will be released on 11th October on XB1 and PC (Windows Store)
It’s not an MMO anymore. SoD1 enjoyed good sales when Zombie MMO craze was on its peak. But now the developer has taken a few steps back (to our pleasure) and made sure you can play it offline-without internet too. Featuring a drop in/drop out cooperative play for upto four players in this zombie surviving RPG, Undead Labs says it will be the most seamless multiplayer experience ever.
On top of surviving a zombie apocalypse, you can build outposts, facilitate them with means to defend themselves. You can form your own groups and select characters that would accompany you into missions (whether AI or humans). It also features drivable vehicles.
State of Decay is set to release in 2017 on XB1 and PC (Windows Store)

There were plenty of big zombie games shown this E3. Among them is quirky Dead Rising 4, which refuses to take itself seriously while you’re mowing down hundreds of zombies with a makeshift bulldozer sporting a costume straight out of a Science fiction. Capcom has clarified it is not a remake of the first game because many people were confused when they heard Frank West was coming back from the first game.
It’s an open world game where you can do whatever you want, having fun with zombies alongside the main storyline. The game will have many crafting recipes which you can use to even mod yourself to make a super suit.
Dead Rising 4 will release on December 6, on XB1 and PC (Windows Store)

An RTS game is a tough sell on consoles, but Bungie made it happen with the original Halo Wars. Now with the help of its genre veterans Creative Assembly, Halo Wars 2 is coming. It is set 28 years after Halo Wars 1, where humans have dwindled into an alien installation called Ark. This place is 10 times as massive as Earth and was the birthplace of the Halo rings you see in FPS Halo franchise. Your enemy is Atriox, a new faction which rose to power when Covenant was defeated.
Though not confirmed, it is set between Halo 4 and Halo 5 in the timeline. For the uninitiated, RTS means Real-time strategy, just like Starcraft and Warcraft, where you control massive armies and maintain resources.
Halo Wars 2 is set to release in February 2017, on XB1 and PC (Windows Store)

Another XB1 game on PC through the Play Anywhere initiative. It is a third person action adventure game where you control a dragon named Thuban and yourself can convert into a fast melee based armored hero.
The game consists 4 player Coop for Multiplayer dungeon mode. It is in kin with a Monster Hunter look where you fight and slay giant monsters in the open world of Draconis.
The dragon and you are customizable. And the dragon Thuban has a unique AI which can grasp the situation on his own accord and reacts accordingly without giving commands, however, if you wish to you can command him for attack, moves and special events in boss battles. The game does not feature any crafting system, but players can pick up different weapons throughout the game.
ScaleBound is set to release in 2017, on XB1 and PC (Windows Store)
We knew Titanfall 2 was coming and was sure to be on PC anyway. But still, it is officially revealed to us on E3. This time it will have a Single Player campaign which tells the story of a titan named “BT-7274” and its pilot Jack Cooper. The titan’s previous pilot was killed in action, and there is supposedly a mystery involved in that.
On the multiplayer side, Respawn introduced 6 new Titans with more to come. The Titans seem agiler now, throwing kicks and punches, wielding swords. The developer also said all the maps and modes in future will be free for all users. We are eagerly waiting for both the campaign and the multiplayer side. Though I am personally still baffled that EA decided to release Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 so close to each other with the danger of cannibalizing each others sale.
Titanfall 2 will be released on 28th October on PS4, XB1 and PC.

Looking for the best PC games which are released in the second half of 2017, we have a definite list for you of the games that were released in 2017 but are still great to play.
These are some of the biggest titles including the Assassin’s Creed Origin, Need for Speed Payback and Destiny.
So Let’s begin our list of top 12 Best PC Games From 2017 You Can Play Even Now – Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
Developer: Ninja TheoryPublisher: Ninja TheoryPlatform: PC, PS4Release Date: 8 August 2017
Our interest in this game is largely based on how unique its gameplay and development process has been.
Almost universally hack and slash combat games draws out during the action to give an approachable view of the chaos, Hellblade does entirely opposite of it by putting a closed shoulder cam throughout combat to convey the real chaos one might face in a one to one Dark souls like a fight.
It helps that woman protagonist are all the rage right now.
Developer: Firaxis GamesPublisher: 2K GamesPlatform: PC, PS4, XB1Release Date: 29th August 2017
Best PC Games From 2017 You Can Play Even Now – XCOM 2 was among my favorite games in 2016. And this expansion will add the more meat to its already ridiculous re-playability.
New Classes, Factions, Enemies, Maps – and a particular Chosen opponent which can even kidnap and interrogate our XCOM operatives for various nefarious reasons. There is nothing NOT to like in here.
Developer: Ubisoft San FranciscoPublisher: UbisoftPlatform: PC, PS4, XB1Release Date: 17th October 2017
I don’t mind toilet humour when it is done by genius’ like Trey and Matt. Now with more depth to their gameplay, you can truly believe Fractured But Whole will click on all fronts Stick of Truth already exceeded in. And don’t lie to yourself acknowledging the genius of the game’s title when you first wrap your head around it.
Developer: Tango GameworksPublisher: Bethesda SoftworksPlatform: PC, PS4, XB1Release Date: 13th October 2017
From the mind of horror master Shinji Mikami comes the sequel of an underappreciated gem. The story takes place before the first game and sounds much like first Silent Hill’s plot. Let’s pray Evil Within franchise gets the due fame it deserves this time around.
Developer: Ghost GamesPublisher: Electronic ArtsPlatform: PC, PS4, XB1Release Date: 10th November 2017
Could this be it? After trying to revive NFS to its former glory, EA has tried and failed miserably by adding nothing but backward features and reboot- to cringe FMV. Now toning down NFS back to Hot Pursuit levels can be the solution. But this year might prove unbelievably hard for some race games to survive because games like Project Cars 2, Forza Motorsport 7 and coming early 2018 – Crew 2 will be fighting for the same spot.
There is no Forza Horizon in the mix or it would have been a lost battle before even starting. And let’s hope EA eased up on ridiculous rubber-banded opponents. All in all, Games does look pretty as ever.
Developer: EA DICEPublisher: Electronics ArtsPlatform: PC, PS4, XB1Release Date: 17th November 2017
Looks like DICE took the reception of the original Battlefront to the heart, and thus remedied it by including more heroes, No Season Pass, Offline Bot Mode, and a special Single Player campaign focused on the story of an untold more solid “Inferno Squad”. To be noted that the Single Player campaign is being written by the writer of Spec Ops the Line, Walt Williams.
Developer: Sledgehammer StudiosPublisher: ActivisionPlatform: PC, PS4, XB1Release Date: 3rd November 2017
A new social space, more “boots to the ground” approach, no jetpacks, back to World War, a Brothers In Arms esque Single player campaign and as usual frantic multiplayer – because something never changes. COD had never really left its top spot, but there are definite signs of cracks.
Previous Infinite Warfare campaign was surprisingly good for people that bothered to finish it and didn’t jumped right away to play multiplayer. This time, COD is on trial for both – Single Player and Multiplayer.
Developer: Slightly Mad StudiosPublisher: Slightly Mad StudiosPlatform: PC, PS4, XB1Release Date: 22nd September 2017
It’s a great year for Racing Fans. Developer SMS has vowed to more tightly tune the controller input this time. And they have an impressive roster of 180 + Cars to choose from.
Developer: Ubisoft MontrealPublisher: UbisoftPlatform: PC, Ps4, XB1Release Date: 27th October 2017
Back to where it all started, the Origins of the Assassin and Templar Guild. As from the impression we got from its gameplay and trailer breakdown in our recent article, the new entry seems to be fully drenched in finding an RPG root. It loses what quick iconic stabbing Assassin stealth/action previous games had, to match a comprehensive mano-a-mano battle Witcher style.
Developer: Machine GamesPublisher: Bethesda SoftworksPlatform: PC, PS4, XB1Release Date:27th October 2017
Wolfenstein opened with a thunderous 8-minute trailer, and already has more story and character than some full-fledged games.
Its dark humor mixed with a boomin’ business of Nazi killing makes it a compelling story to be glued to. The story continues from the first game which was excellent on all fronts already. You owe it to yourself to see this full-length trailer and be ready to fall in love with killing Nazis – As you should.
Developer: Monolith ProductionPublisher: Warner BrosPlatform: PC, PS4, XB1Release Date: 10th October 2017
It was collectively yet unanimously decided by thousands of fans that Shadow of Mordor was perhaps the better fun version of Assassins Creed. And with AC taking an entirely different route and Batman (or Batman type combat) is nowhere to be seen, Shadow of War is coming at just the right time.
The expanded Nemesis system is one of the most innovative mechanics in the last decade of gaming easily. Shadow of War simply builds upon an already stellar game and logically have no option but to supersede its prequel in every way.
Developer: BungiePublisher: ActivisionPlatform: PC, PS4, XB1Release Date: 6th September 2017 (WW), 24th October 2017 (PC)
This is big. Love it or hate it, Destiny has become one of the pillars in the Gaming Community. When a developer nails the core aspect of what you do – The Shooting – then it’s not hard to understand why even the barebones lackluster hollow vanilla Destiny 1 before expansions even had us in the grips for a very long time.
Their business side may be a little sketchy, but what Bungie excels is in progress and improving on feedback. Destiny 2 coming to PC is more of an event. And we are eager to see what Bungie can do to this Destiny universe once they add an actual story to all this loot grabbing.
Honorable Mentions :
Cuphead: A game whose artstyle speaks for itself had finally got a release date of 29th Sept on PC and XB1.
Age of Empires Remastered / Starcraft Remastered: More like back-from-NeverReallyDead land, these two remasters ensures these legends will remain with us for decades and decades.
There are tons of top Games which you can play on PC and Xbox One, PS4. Here is a brief list of highest rated and awarded games which have been great in 2016 and can be played even now.
Some more Top Games to explore for playing on Consoles and PC from 2017 and 2018.
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt: Blood and Wine
We know we are technically cheating by putting an expansion to contend with other entire full fleshed games, but that is just because how exceptionally good this game and this expansion was – which put many full priced games to shame. No wonder Witcher 3 went on to become the highest GOTY award winning game of all times even beating The last of Us.
Even its expansion won 7 GOTY awards in 2016, that just how crazy good this whole affair was. CDPR has raised the bar for Western RPGs and seems like Publisher-kings of the older world will be chasing this games mantra for years to come…we can only hope if they can learn a thing or two about free DLCs from CDPR.

FINAL FANTASY XV
Nothing seems more satisfying than a hard worked project bearing fruits. In UK, it became the second fastest selling game in the series’ history. And in US during December, it showed best console launch month sales in the series’ history and was second most sold game beaten only by mammoth Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. Total shipments and digital sales for Final Fantasy XV have till now far exceeded 6 Million Units.
Square Enix has successfully bring new life into Final Fantasy franchise managing to attract old veterans as well as new players. With comics/manga, anime series to full feature animated movie with eye bleeding visuals, seems like all that hype was worth it. We will be glad to see how Square Enix will manag to evolve this semi-open world RPG-action formula going forward.

The sequel absolutely surpassed the original in terms of ideas, setting as well a new playable character which seems fitting with the story. However for a action-stealth game, it was release right in between juggernauts of games amid the most rushed time of the year in November – we should all assume with so many games coming out some clashes are bound to happen. Had this hurt Dishonored sales in a tragic way, we simply do not know.
Also the poor PC performance of this game doesn’t help it in the least, but on the system that it did work the game was almost praised by all gamers and critics. With much more flexible gameplay and re-playability, the game packed much for worth its price and quality.

DARK SOULS 3
Top 10 Highest Rated Games To Play on Consoles and PC 2017 – Prepare to be amazed. After great – but no so great Dark souls 2, From Software gave us PS4 exclusive Bloodborne which revitalised the formula. And Dark Souls 3 successfully integrated everything that was great about Bloodborne into Dark Souls 3. Gone were they glitchy mess of the previous game and the slow paced action, (which weren’t bad by any account) – and was transformed into a fast paced thinkers game where every swing was much more calculated and intense, all brought on by a good storyline going all the way back to Dark Souls 1.
A fan favourite by all account the expectations were off the roof and DK3 touched them fairly good. It was a perfect send off to this great franchise with Hidetaka Miyazaki stepping down from the franchise director. Lets see who will helm this franchise in the future if From Software decided to revisit it. In your humble writers opinion, one should not poke a classic with a half assed attempt just to grab cash. I think all of us would be glad if From Software rest this franchise and move onto making Armored Core or some new IP perhaps.

Limbo was released in 2010. After cementing itself in the best games ever made in history of gaming, we can assume Developer PlayDead was busy making Mobile and handhelds ports for this brilliant game. Even after that, INSIDE was in works for more than 5 years with a gametime of only 4 hours. That is not a stroke against this game, with only 20$ (Rs.500/) price – it is a testament of how polished and cherished its development would had been.
Without spoiling anything, INSIDE is a game you just have to experience on your own. We are eagerly waiting for Playdeads next game, lets hope it could be released before the end of 2018.

Was it able to dethrone Call of Duty? Yes and No. It certainly outdid COD in terms of sheer gameplay value, but the giant has still ways to go before upsetting COD in sales. However everybody seems to realize well now how COD has fallen and BF1 has got to be the go-to shoot ‘em up multiplayer to take its place. We will have to wait and see if COD explores more setting and more colors other than Modern and brown.
It comfortably grabbed the most sold title in its launch month. And how Battlefield 4 sales and age were any indication, this thing will keep on selling until the next installment. Campaign wise it was not all glorious as compared to actually-fine COD campaigns, but we could see they tried something new with the campaign. Battlefield 1 still has 261k active players.

THE LAST GUARDIAN
The Last Guardian was perhaps just some years away from being ended up on milk cartons back as missing for years. But Sony pulled a miracle in 2015 and revealed all but completed game. Team ICO with games developed like Shadow of the Colossus had great technical feats for their day and age, but we fully understand why some of the graphics would be a little to outdated. We still still love to see what a new Team ICO can accomplish with modern engines to its full potential.
Anyway, The Lats guardian gave what it promised form the very start, which was a heart warming story of a boy and a owl-cat creature who had surprisingly cat like behaviour. We can put this game as a controversial entry into the Top 10 of 2016 because it wasn’t everybodies cup of tea. But gamers and critics all over the world cherished this game and the legacy attached to this huge a game almost warrnats you give atleast one try before dismissing it.

It may not have won all the GOTY awards there exists, but is surely was capable of so. DOOM was the best game of 2016, its fluent gameplay capturing the fast thrill of the original doom. Bethesda certainly knocked it out of the park with this one, but made one grave mistake of not sending review copies beforehand – certainly because of the backlash DOOM faced on its multiplayer. Not to mention it was the best PC port we have seen in years, thanks to Vulkan.
All the games in this list may not stood the test of time, but DOOM will without a single doubt will be remembered for years to come. It all bends into psychology too that the game we expected to be mediocre turns into gem (Shadow of Mordor, Watch Dogs 2) and the one with huge expectations falls flat *cough*No Mans Sky*cough*.
Doom went on with a slow start became became a raging demon in the sales charts after the word of mouth went out. We will never know what records it could have broken if Bethesda/id had showed confidence in their game or tried a different marketing strategy.

Who could have thought that Blizzard could make a FPS game ? Not only make it but excelled at it with flying colors. They did took any help they could from FPS veterans like Treyarch, and the results shows. Overwatch is insanely balanced, incredibly polished, astoundingly charming and what perhaps is most important – it is well supported by its creators and players alike. With a rich story in a multiplayer game just for the heck of it, Blizzard just simply knows how to make good games period.
